Auschwitz resistance movement
The resistance movement in the Auschwitz concentration camp provided help to weaker prisoners and attempted to inform the world about Auschwitz. The prisoners risked their lives to collect information and statistics on the crimes of the SS. Some prisoners successfully escaped from the camp. The most dramatic action taken by the resistance movement was the revolt in the "special detachment" in October 1944.
